ATTRACTIONS
Hershey—a place where families
come together to get a taste of the sweet life, where streetlights
are shaped like HERSHEY’S KISSES, Chocolate
Avenue meets Cocoa Avenue, and the air is filled with the wonderful
aroma of chocolate!
Tucked in the rolling hills of Central Pennsylvania, this idyllic
escape offers the latest and greatest in entertainment and hospitality,
fused with the traditions of one of America’s original success stories.
It was here that Milton
S. Hershey opened the world’s
first modern chocolate
factory in 1905. Wanting to give something
back to the community, he built a "model town" to provide
his employees and their families with an attractive and comfortable
place to live, work, and play.
Today HERSHEYPARK, ZOOAMERICA, the Milton Hershey School, and more
are lasting monuments to Mr. Hershey’s legacy and vision.
Hershey’s location is also ideal for exciting
day trips to
the many cultural, historical, educational, and entertaining attractions
in the region. Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and York are all
within a short distance of Hershey.
